Applications for Syndicate Bank recruitment 2012 are invited from all the Indian citizens who are seeking jobs for the post of probationary officer for total 40 vacancies. Four seats are reserved for PH-2, HI-1 and VH-1. The eligibility criteria for Syndicate Bank recruitment 2012 is given below:
Citizenship or Nationality
A candidate should be either a
• Citizen of India
• Subject of Bhutan
• Subject of Nepal
• A Tibetan refugee who has come to India for permanently settling there.
This is applicable only if a certificate has been provided by Government of India in favor of that person. If there is a certificate of eligibility in favor of the candidate, he may be admitted to the interview or examination that is conducted by the bank. However, the final selection will be done only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. Some educational qualifications are also required. A degree is required from some recognized university. An equivalent qualification is also required. Preference will be given only to those candidates who are literates in MS word, Networking, excel and MS DOS. A person should be above 21 years of age. He should not be above 30 years of age. There is a relaxation for age upper limit for ST or SC candidates by 5 years. There is a relaxation limit for OBC candidates by 3 years. There are some commissioned officers including SSOs and ECOs. They have rendered 5 years of military services and have been released after the assignment is completed. It is also applicable for all the officers of Rural Regional Banks by whom continuous services of 5 years have been put up. It is also applicable for visually and orthopedically handicapped candidates. The relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed only on cumulative basis.
Selection is done for the probationary officer post only on the basis of the performance in an interview or a written test. Given below are details for the exam:
• Objective tests is for 135 minutes
• Maximum marks that are allotted are 200 marks.
Various names of the test in the syndicate bank recruitment 2012 are:
• Quantitative aptitude
• Test of general awareness
• English language
• Test of reasoning
There is a descriptive test as well. The duration of the test will be about 45 minutes. The marks allotted are 60. There will be four questions in it. Out of 3, a person has to answer 3 questions. This test is only for qualification. There is no merit ranking. The candidates have an option of answering the paper in English or Hindi. The bank has to right for holding second phase of written examination if it is required. Written examination is help in the second stage. There is an interview for shortlisted candidates. They are ranked as per the marks that they obtain. All eligible candidates have to submit their applications in a prescribed format. If the applications are received after the last date, they will not be taken into consideration.
