Successful July for BMW

Figures being released by brands in the automotive sector for July may suggest that the UK car economy is starting to recover, or at least has had a decent July.
Figures being released by brands in the automotive sector for July may suggest that the UK car economy is starting to recover, or at least has had a decent July. Brands such as Skoda have come out and said they are up on sales year on year. Now BMW has come out and said they are up 7.6% year on year for July, in terms of sales.

Over the course of July 129,094 BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce models were sold. Year to date, BMW has delivered 962,468 units, which is a 17.9% improvement compared to the first 7 months of last year (816,014 units). Remember these figures do not include used BMW in London sales figures, but I can reassure you these are doing well too.

Ian Robertson, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing: "We have just reported the most successful July sales ever and we are well on our way to achieving our recently announced target of over 1.6 million vehicles in 2011, the best ever sales result for the BMW Group. We are clearly benefiting from a very attractive product line-up which is finding success with customers right across the globe."

BMW has been launching new models and new variants over the last year, the BMW X3 and the BMW X1 have done well. The end to 2011 will see more models being launched, in autumn the new BMW X3 xDrive20i and the xDrive35d will be available.

The new BMW 1 Series comes with new engine variants, helping BMW target are more fuel conscious segment of the market. These new engines also promise to be greener, lowering road tax prices.
