Today the world is getting flushed with innumerable number of gadgets, machines and technologically advanced equipments. One of the futuristic and scintillating inventions at present has come in the form of the solar panels.

The shivering uses of solar panels have made all the environment lovers happy as it has come out to be an alternative that could change the way we use resources to churn out the energy. A solar panel (photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel) is a packaged, interconnected assembly of solar cells, also known as photovoltaic cells. Nowadays it is one of the favorite options for energy uses among people for residential and commercial use.

The use of the solar panel is an extremely useful alternative since there won’t be any power cuts and also the problem of disruptions in the process are tremendously reduced which is something to be looked at and paid heed to. Solar energy avoids you paying high payment of electricity bills. Every month money savings could lead to a huge sum annually. It is obvious that residential and commercial solar panels help to save your time and cut unwanted expenses.

The rodents in the way of modernization have somehow created a lot of problems for the environment but with the advent of these solar panels you can become an eco friendly person and with that you can do what you actually want to do without harming the environment.

Solar panels use light energy (photons) from the sun to generate electricity through the photovoltaic effect. The structural (load carrying) member of a module can either be the top layer or the back layer. The majority of modules use wafer-based crystalline silicon cells or thin-film cells based on cadmium telluride or silicon. The conducting wires that take the current off the panels may contain silver, copper or other conductive (but generally not magnetic) transition metals.

The cells must be connected electrically to one another and to the rest of the system. Cells must also be protected from mechanical damage and moisture. Most solar panels are rigid, but semi-flexible ones are available, based on thin-film cells.

Electrical connections are made in series to achieve a desired output voltage and/or in parallel to provide a desired current capability. Most solar modules are currently produced from silicon PV cells. Third generation solar cells are advanced thin-film cells. They produce high-efficiency conversion at low cost.
