Civil society is a term that appears almost as formless as social media. Both of them are becoming ever more powerfully connected for the promotion of democracy and human rights in the modern world.

Citizens are becoming conscious about their rights and are well aware to claim them. The approach of civil responsibility therefore, is getting deeper and profounder. Since, the move towards the agenda is based on political evolution of every country in recent years. Non government organizations have worked hard towards development of more responsible society; they have served bridging the gaps over the years.
Civil society is a term that appears almost as formless as social media. Both of them are becoming ever more powerfully connected for the promotion of democracy and human rights in the modern world. The ties are getting stronger and as an example, we have American and European government along with non-government organizations that have been propagating the agenda of civil responsibility from past 20 years via media. Whereas the African people forum and African government are creating a space for helping people share their ideas and to speak out their mind for the amenities and developments they feel must be done in future. Moreover, the recent protest at Libya shook democratic countries by a revolutionary air.
Non-governmental workers, institutes, organization, congregations, writers/reporters and associations work together to bring a wide range of suggestions and opinions and centralize these ideas creating critical vibrations within the nation leading social transformation. NGOs smoothens the gap between governments and societies to aim a well-functioning democracy. Civil society is the third critical element to democracy, after all. (The other two being representative government and a well-functioning market)

Mobile-based tools
Television-programs
Radio-broadcasts
These forms are crucial pillars on which the social reformation of a civil society depends. Media is an accessible to all fast, efficient and easy to use instrument that serves masses of a country. Since Libya had a repressive government that controlled the traditional print, radio and televised media. The country used social media i.e. people working for country and society, became active to help others understand politics at the grass root levels and motivate them to take a stand against the wrong doings in effective manner. It was the only access people had unregulated discussions on the issues. The results were witnessed by all. The rise of Libya in Egypt became the most valiant recent political up surging stirred by social media.
All forms of media emphasize over a successful information infrastructure of the society. They work to make society more aware and conscious. Recently in some of the nations, social media has played far more important role and has participated in the prevailing traditional political culture for the well being of citizens.
