Improving blood circulation in the body can be beneficial in many ways. It allows oxygen and nutrients to to your organs, muscles, and joints which in turn improve overall body functioning, stimulates nerves, reduce pain and inflammation and encourage the healing process.
Cinnamon spice: Add cinnamon spice to your diet. You can add cinnamon powder to your daily diet, for example in oatmeal. The spice is warming and it is well known for its many benefits. A regular intake improves blood circulation especially in and around the bone joints. This means that nutrients reach the joints and waste products are moved out more efficiently.
Essential Oils: In a teaspoon of olive oil add 2 drops each of pure basil and rosemary essential oils. This mix can be used as rubbing oil for your feet. Take the essential oil mix and apply on your feet. Rub the oil in and then to aid the absorption cover your feet with socks. This procedure is best done before you go to sleep at night. The feet absorb the oil quickly and the essential oil will reach the blood stream within 20 or 30 minutes.
Dry Skin Brushing: Dry skin brushing is a way of detoxifying your body. It improves the circulation of lymph and blood in the body. It is a very simple procedure to be followed before taking a bath or shower. Use a dry brush and gently brush the area with the dry skin, use long strokes while brushing and it should be towards the hearts’ general direction. The brushing must be done for five minutes every day.
Ginger Tea: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and many other health benefits. Ginger tea is known to improve circulation in the body. The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger help to reduce pains and aches. You can drink tea brewed with ginger or simply steep finely chopped fresh ginger, about 2 teaspoons, in a cup of boiled water for five to ten minutes and drink a cup of this everyday.
Rosemary Oil: Rosemary is a very useful herb; it aids in cleansing the body and also improves circulation. Rosemary oil can be used with other essential oils to massage the body. You could also add the oil to your diet. It is ideal for making a salad dressing. Add fresh rosemary herb to jar, fill a quarter of the jar with the herb, and fill the jar with olive oil. The herb must be fully covered in oil, secure the lid and store in a warm place away from direct sunlight. After 14 days remove the herb from the jar, the oil is ready to use, store in dark glass bottles.
Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy involves hot and cold showers which help improve overall circulation. The process begins with a hot shower, when your skin goes pink because of the hot water switch to cold water. As a result the blood rushes into all the organs in the body. Again go back to the hot shower, repeat the steps a couple of times.
