Shooting at California Salon, 8 people killed

According to Arab News report, a gunman opened fire Wednesday in a busy Southern California hair salon and had killed 8 people and had critically wounded others.

The news report describes the news journal this way that the hair-dressing station was full at Salon Meritage when this gunman had opened fire on people and left the salon and jumped into a vehicle in a parking lot after the attack, but he was arrested half-mile away by the Seal Beach police and surrendered without incident.

Seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Steve Bowles said that police were known that the gunman had acted alone and he was well known by people in the salon. A former salon employee, Lydia Sosa said that the gunner had been involved in a bitter divorce from his former wife, who was working at the salon and the relationship between them was not good as she heard it from his wife saying that “he was bitter” and was very bitter.

The salon owner Kimberly Criswell who was two doors down from the scene of the shootings said that she and her all customers and her employees had heard the gunshots and her receptionist saw a man through a window while the gunner was shooting in parking lot. She also said that the gunner shot a man at parking lot and ran into the bathroom and locked the door. So these were the statements that we had come to know from the news journals.

Well, the Arab Times had also reported, the gunner Scott Dekraai was about 42-year-old who had arrested and is now at police custody. The report says the police have couple up witnesses against the Scott Dekraai to bring justice in court.

Well, one more thing that also had revealed out from a witness Glenn Zachman that the gunner had placed plastic bags over the man's hands to preserve possible gunshot residue.

Well, the news report also said Kari Salveson of Los Alamitos who was attended a service for the victims at SeaCoast Grace Church in Seal Beach knows the victim as Michelle Dekraai for more than 10 years and she is very much aware of that he and her ex-wife were involved in a bitter custody dispute over their son, who is about 7 or 8 years old.
