I am a huge fan of cocktail bars, I think they make for some of the best nights out I’ve ever had. Here are my top seven reasons why your night out should start in a cocktail bar.

I am a huge fan of cocktail bars, I think they make for some of the best nights out I’ve ever had. Here are my top seven reasons why your night out should start in a cocktail bar.

1) They’re in every city

Whether you are in Leeds, England, or a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, you will be able to find somewhere serving a huge array of exotic cocktails and mixed drinks.

2) They’re glamorous

Most cocktail bars make an effort when it comes to their ambience – this makes them the perfect setting for a night out. Rather than sitting on a mouldy couch next to an ancient standard lamp you can relax on a slick leather sofa surrounded by sexy mood lighting.

3) They’re exclusive

Cocktail bars will generally have door staff whose primary responsibility is to keep out the troublemakers. This is often not necessary as the more refined selection of drinks is often enough to put off your average thug. This means you can generally enjoy the start of your night out without worrying about getting a bottle hurled at you.

4) They can be affordable

Many cocktail bars will have a variety of drinks offers available on various nights. This can often include two for one cocktail offers making cocktail bars a great place for a date!

5) You only need a couple

Due to the mixed spirits in each cocktail you generally only need one or two to see you off to a great night. This can be the equivalent of several beers but without the horrible bloated feeling associated with it.
