Genuine quality lather is used to upholster the front and back portions. The standard dimensions of the chair are 33” X 32” X 41”. Hans Wegner designed the first shell chair Hans Wegner in 1963. The chair was initially designed to be a lounge chair. The design has more or less remained the same over the period. It is made of finely molded plywood that makes for a very comfortable sitting. The seat and back cushion upholsters are made of genuine leather. The shell chair serves to be a good piece of decorative furniture and can be kept in living room too along with lounge space. Color options for upholstery include black and White. The chair is made of hard walnut wood. Brno chair was designed Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in year 1927. The amazing simplicity of the chair and comfort that the chair provided made it remain unaltered throughout the decades. The name Brno has been taken from the city of Brno, Czech Republic where Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was working for the Tugendhat House. The design includes a single steel frame that is bent in form of inverted “C” with an extended edge that provides for the back support. The seat and back cushion upholsters are made of genuine leather. Two versions of Brno chair are available – flat steel and tubular steel. In some models, chrome plated stainless steel is also used.
