35 Pass Erase – The 35 Pass Erase options which as the name hints, writes junks over your drive 35 times. If you want your data super mega ultra really gone, this is the one to use.
You should note that the 7-pass option will write the zero Out 7 times longer where as the 35 pass option takes will 35 times as long. Other than that if these options leave you with a slight case of jim-jams then you can go for Multi-Mass sledgehammer option that will make the data completely unrecoverable and if you really want to sacrifice your hard drive to make this happen, extract the drive from your Mac, take it out back and beat the living hell out of it.
