It is not easy to forget the bygone days, when people would walk with pride, if they had a job at hand. These jobs were obviously in the government sectors and departments as the private organizations didn’t exist at all. Whatever work was done through private organization were in partnership with the government and such undertakings were called as the public sector organizations. They still were included in the government sector.
The entry of private companies and organizations into the country does not have a long history. It was only in the 80s and 90s that many corporate and private companies started to make their presence felt. Since these couple of decades, many jobs have been thankfully created in the private sectors. But, the government jobs have also been there for the interested people. Although these jobs in the government sector had been slow to come, they were never out of contention for the public.
In the 21st century, sarkari naukri has become a craze again as many people either passing out freshly from the colleges or those who are already in jobs in the private sector want to shift their bases to the government sector organizations. As if, in a response to the call of the public, the government, has been successful in creating jobs, for the citizens of the country. With development works going on in every sector, and more opportunities opening up, the number of jobs have gone up in recent years. This has allowed the candidates to be assured of the jobs, although some amount of competition still exists.
There are many sectors in the government arena, where people are finding jobs in plenty and they mostly include the railways, banking, health, agriculture, infrastructure works like road and buildings, etc. In these areas, the number of opportunities has increased primarily because the center and the state governments are trying to spruce the existing infrastructure, so that people would be able to lead a better life.
A very important reason for the rising popularity of the sarkari naukri has been the increase in pay scale of the employees across all the grades, which has made them, get salaries in commensurate with those of the private sector jobs. Some of these jobs are even better paying that their private counterparts.
With the better pay scales and various perks for the public, people are taking up the jobs in large numbers, and are even enthusiastic of taking these jobs. Students are getting into educational institutions with the aim of contributing to the government sector and these plans are made much before they actually pass out of the institutions. In recent years, the growth of the flavor for government jobs has increased praiseworthily, so much so that the number of candidates for every job advertised is increasing.
The candidates who are lining up for the jobs also include those people who are already in the private sector and are trying to shift into the government sectors. The whole concept of sarkari naukri has been revived by efforts of the government and the benefits are being reaped by the public in form of enough jobs to carve an enriching career.
