In the winter months, you usually find yourself having the urge to create something in your garage. This may be because there is not much you can do outside due to the cold weather. Your garage can be your refuge during the winter months. The only problem is if your garage does not have a heating system installed. You cannot work in your garage if it is freezing cold in there. The solution to your dilemma is the installation of ventless garage heaters.

Ventless garage heaters can drive away the freezing temperatures from your garage in no time. They can heat up your garage without venting any air from outside the garage. They use the oxygen inside the garage, warm it up and then sends it right back into the room. They do not draw cold air from outside the garage. Heat is not lost at all when you are using ventless garage heaters. They are more efficient as a heating system because of this.

Ventless garage heaters may be more efficient but you also need to use them safely and properly so that they can function at their maximum level of performance. To start with, always read the manual. Read each detail carefully so that you know how they function. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call their customer service or the manufacturer.

Your garage must not be sealed off entirely. Leave a small gap in the door or open a window a tiny bit so that oxygen can enter the room. If the room is sealed shut, the oxygen in the garage can be depleted which can lead to suffocation. It is also wise to check the oxygen level detector from time to time to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

The first signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are dizziness and nausea. If you feel any of these symptoms then you should immediately turn off the ventless garage heaters and open the door or windows to let the fresh air in.

Keep the ventless garage heaters away from all types of flammable materials. Place them in a position where there are no cabinets or curtains nearby. They should also be placed in a safe spot where you will not trip on them.

If you feel that there is something wrong with your ventless garage heaters then you should immediately contact the manufacturer. It is also best to have them checked at least once a year just to be sure that they are functioning properly and to avoid accidents.
