Welding jobs are highly dangerous and there are various risks involved in it. Few of the hazards include damage to eyes through ultraviolet radiation, asphyxiation, skin damage, fire due to chemical or electrical short circuit and inhalation due to fumes. These unwanted risks can be easily avoided by using the right equipment and safety materials.

There are various physical risks associated with the sparks and arcs produced during the welding process. There are a wide range of safety equipments and aluminum welders can use them to protect themselves from various hazards that arise during welding process. Auto darkening helmets and thick gloves can reduce the exposure of these harmful rays to a great extent. Flammable materials must be kept away from the welding area as it can cause a flame or spark accidentally during the welding process.

Aluminum welders must follow all the safety precautions during the welding process. They must be well equipped with safety equipment including gloves, welding goggles, etc. People who are regularly working in welding field are easily prone to carcinogenic effect as a result of regular exposure to toxic chemicals which are present in metal surfaces. Moreover high level of heat is generated during the welding process and victims who inhale these hot molecules are easily prone to various lungs related problems. But by wearing safety mask welders can protect themselves from these toxic fumes. If workers are regularly exposed to these toxic materials they may be easily affected with fatal diseases of liver and kidney.

Welding must be done in well ventilated area free from fumes otherwise people who does welding is easily prone to suffocation. A welder must be more cautious while welding inside a tank using TIG or MIG. Both these process of welding uses Argon gas which is an odorless and colorless gas that is heavier than air. It can easily fill up a room or closed area as it is colorless, it can make the environment to lack oxygen and can lead to the death of the victim. So it is essential to be very cautious while welding using TIG or MIG method of welding.

By following these safety measures any aluminum welders can prevent any hazardous accident during the process of welding.
