Russians invade the Marbella and the Costa del Sol

I meet up with a Russian working the Real Estate business on the Costa del Sol to understand why so many are buying in the middle of a property recession. I also aim to see how I can help agents learn some phrases to help with their website promotion.

As a property professional that has spent all his life is this fascinating business, mainly on the Costa del Sol and in the USA, I couldn’t help but find the new wave of Russian property buyers fascinating and intriguing. Whilst the majority the majority of Spain is still in the property doldrums the coastal areas of the Costa del Sol and especially Marbella are seeing a massive growth in property sales.
I met up with Elena Krasilnikova a Russian resident on the Costa del Sol to catch up on some important words and phrases for estate agents and find out what special help and assistance her native buyers required. Elena explains to me that many other agents have asked how to say property for sale on the Costa del Sol, недвижимость на коста дель соль so they can include it on their websites to try and improve their visibility in the Russian search angines.

Until recently it has been nearly impossible for non EU nationals to obtain mortgage credit of over 50% of the property value. Elena tells me she has obtained 70% loan to value mortgages for Russians buying in Spain, as long as the client has good paperwork. Another requirement where Elena likes to help her clients is obtaining the NIE number for Russains or Налоговый номер.
