Roxette is coming back to Australia in February 2012 with their "Roxette Live" tour. Australian fans can finally hear their favourite songs from Sweden’s pop music duo after 17 years.

Australian pop music fans can finally get excited because Roxette is coming down under. The pop music group that everyone loved in the 1980s and 1990s are coming to Australia for a special tour in February 2012. Roxette will sing some of their biggest hits, as well as their new material. The group hasn’t been in Australia for 17 years but they are back and ready than ever.
Roxette's pop music style resonates with their fan base. There are known to sing up-tempo songs but they have incorporated ballads into their repertoire. Many of their songs have been featured in movies and on the films' soundtracks.
The Swedish pop music duo comprised of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle rose to music fame with hits such as "It Must Have Been Love" and "The Look". Roxette formed in 1986 and released their breakthrough album "Look Sharp!" shortly after. The band rose to the top of the charts in the late 80s and 90s and have been making music ever since. Their song "It Must Have Been Love" topped Australia’s radio charts. In the mid-1990s, Roxette took a brief hiatus. They came back in 1999 with "Have a Nice Day" and released another album called "Room Service", in 2001. Roxette has sold 60 million records worldwide.
Roxette fans in Australia have been asking for a tour for years and the band has finally agreed to give it to them. The pop duo has scheduled a national tour in Australia beginning February of 2012. This national tour is in conjunction with their newest album "Charm School". Fredriksson and Gessle plan on doing two shows in Sydney on February 16th and 17th at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. These shows in Sydney are expected to be very special.
Roxette fans can expect the duo is play some of their most popular hits, including "It Must Have Been Love", "Listen to Your Heart", "The Look" and "Joyride". The group will also include songs from their new album "Charm School", which was released on EMI earlier this year. Fans of this album will have the opportunity to hear their favourite tracks. Roxette’s greatest hits album will also have a special role in the tour. Roxette last graced Australia with a tour in 1995. The Australian leg of their Crash! Boom! Bang! Tour was a hit and became financially successful.
In addition to their Sydney shows, Roxette will also be hitting the stage across other Australian arenas and stadiums. The additional tour cities are Brisbane at the Entertainment Centre, Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena, Adelaide at the Entertainment Centre and Perth at the Challenge Stadium.
Everyone is so excited for Roxette to come to Australia that the second Sydney concert is already sold out. Roxette will be joined with one of the most famous bands in Australia, 1927. The band’s album "Ish" was one of the highest selling albums in Australia. The "Ish" album was released in 1989.
This is sure to be one of the most exciting pop music tours in Australia’s history. Australian fans are ready to experience Roxette again and sing their favourite songs at the top of their lungs. With this set of new concerts, new Roxette fans are sure to be created.
