Rod Stewart has been rocking houses – and sending women into convulsions – for decades. Today, this 60-something artist appears to be happier wooing crowds with classic tunes rather than strutting his stuff with his own standbys like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?"

Rod Stewart has been rocking houses – and sending women into convulsions – for decades. Today, this 60-something artist appears to be happier wooing crowds with classic tunes rather than strutting his stuff with his own standbys like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?"
Despite his sweeter, softer image today, the audiences still love this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and Rod Stewart concert tickets continue to sell well at venues across the country.
A History of Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart was born in 1945 in London, England, as Roderick David Stewart. His love of music didn't come until later in his early adulthood, after excelling as a soccer player and working a string of odd jobs, including one position as a grave digger.
It was in the 1960s that the music bug bit, and Stewart began working in a few different bands to get his feet wet in the industry. One of his gigs was working in the band dubbed the Faces with Ron Wood, the artist who later became one of the Rolling Stones.
By 1971, Stewart had gone solo and made it big with the release of his "Every Picture Tells a Story" album, which featured the hit single "Maggie May." After that initial success, Stewart went on to release "A Night on the Town" and "Blondes have More Fun," both of which had smash singles attached to them.
While the 1980s saw a slowdown of this musician's popularity, his earlier hits kept him in the spotlight, sold plenty of Rod Stewart concert tickets, and garnered him a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His love of women and hard living also gave him a reputation and a place as one of the most popular rock and roll stars with the female audience.
Sweeter, but Still Sultry Stewart
Today, Stewart is on the road crooning favorites for Rod Stewart ticket holders that go back even before his own time, such as hits from Cole Porter, along with covers from more recent artists like Ike and Tina Turner and Sam Cooke. This new show is promoting his latest passion, which is a series of releases titled "The Great American Songbook."
Stewart says on his website that "if you fancy yourself even a bit of a singer – these songs are like chocolate." His first "Great American Songbook" release occurred in 2002 and entered the Billboard Top 200 at number four. All three of the first albums in the "Songbook" series have been nominated for Grammy Awards and have been certified platinum.
Rod Stewart concert tickets are now selling for the show Stewart is currently sharing with former Fleetwood Mac front woman Stevie Nicks. The two are touring throughout the United States and Canada before making their way overseas for additional dates.
Whether you loved this rocker's former hits that skyrocketed to the top of the music charts or enjoy listening to him croon out these old cover favorites in his familiar throaty growl, you won't want to miss your Rod Stewart tickets coming to a concert venue near you.
