How would it feel if you turn your computer on and you find out that everything is formatted or there are not data in your HDD (Hard Disk Drive)? That is a worst case scenario but this kind of thing can happen. You may find out that you have accidentally deleted one of your important files or one of your file is corrupted or is eaten by a virus or worm and so on. It’s really annoying to find yourself in such position but this kind of incident can occur for many reasons. Some of those reasons are given here:
1. Accidentally pressing the Delete Button. If your Recycle Bin option or Delete Confirmation Dialogue is off then you won’t even realize when your file is deleted.
2. Removing memory devices without proper removal actions such as Safe Remove.
3. Disconnecting memory devices while transferring data.
4. Power failure, voltage up down.
5. Physical damage to the HDD.
6. Accidentally formatting the HDD.
7. Virus or Worm attack.
There can be many other reasons but they are just variations of the above mentioned causes. Those things can really happen any time and without warning. So it is wise to be prepared for those kinds of situation. The most exciting thing is that you can recover the lost or deleted or formatted data.
This is how it works. When a file is saved on the computer, the OS creates an index which saves the memory locations of the file. When you delete the file, computer just removes the index. Therefore the computer just forgets that there is a file there and it shows that memory as empty. But the file remains there until it is overwritten by some other file. So, the deleted or lost or formatted data are still there, only hidden and unknown to the computer. Those data can be recovered by data recovery utility. But make sure not to install that software in those formatted partition because the files have a chance to be overwritten. Data recovery software scans the drive and recovers the existing data located on the memory and from there you can restore data that were lost.
This is the preparation that I was talking about. Having a data recovery software standby is not such a bad idea. But obviously keep that data recovery software in a flash drive or write it in a CD or DVD. It would be an irony if the data recovery software itself is lost.
Data Recovery by Wondershare is the data recovery software that is out there. It is a powerful tool that features a user friendly interface which is designed as such that no expert knowledge is required to operate that software. It can recover data from formatted partitions, deleted files or even from crashed HDD. If the HDD is physically damaged then it is out of its league but if the damage is not physical and is not overwritten then you can recover the data easily. You can recover data from not only HDD, but also from external memory devices as well.
If you are still not convinced then use the free trial version first to check out its performance. If you are satisfied then you can purchase the full version after wards. Visit this link to download or for getting more information about the software: wondershare.com/data-recovery/.
