Playing Your Part It is important to be vigilant in your community. If you see anyone paying extra attention to a building, the wiring or pipes connected a building, report it immediately and make others in the community aware of it. That can be the cheapest and simplest solution in helping prevent copper theft. If your area is constantly suffering from a lack of copper then it may be that it is too vulnerable. The easier it is for thieves to get what they want, the more they will return for it once it has been replaced. If community awareness is not enough to stop the thefts then looking at an improved security system may help deter thieves from targeting your metals.
