In my previous articles, I always mentioned about the information that my readers need to know about Driving Under the Influence or DUI as well as the penalties that follow the charges of the crime. For all we know, the consequences are indeed very intense, harsh and hefty. And, to those who have already been a first-time DUI offender, maybe a blurry of vision of committing the violation again is very impossible.
Also, in my previous write-ups I have likewise recalled the efforts of the different state officials in Florida in their efforts of reforming, updating and formalizing active traffic laws on drunk driving. In this article, I am going to tackle some of the things you may want to remember about a DUI penalty:

THE AFTERMATH
Like what I have been saying previously, the penalties for a DUI charge are all of no joking matter. It can brought out life-changing experiences to the offender himself. Some of these "horrible aftermaths" includes: fines, jail period, probation, driver's license suspension or restriction, impoundments of vehicle, installation of an Ignition Interlock Device, DUI classes and community services.

For fines, it may usually range from a minimum of $100-$500 for first-time offenders and $600-$1000 or more for second, third or multiple-time offenders. The fines can rather be hefty in the event the violations will be repeated several times by the same person. Jaile period, on the other hand, may be on the duration of days, weeks, months or even years. The jail time of a person guilty of a DUI may take years once he or she was involved in a vehicular homicide. The term usually pertains to an incident wherein there are other innocent individuals on board or nearby the street that were injured, hurt or worse died, as a result of driving under the influence by the accused. At this point, the jail period will be on 30 years minimum span.

A driver's license suspension is also an inevitable aftermath. Like the monetary sanction, it is the most common DUI penalty. Personally, I say this is the most "awful"consequence because a person will be deprived temporarily (or permanently) of the primary mode of transportation, which is a car. This is possible because with suspension or restriction of the license any person will not have the liberty to use any motor vehicle. This is sad because his or her day-to-day routine will be affected as well as his or her social endeavors (you know, going to parties, events, etc.)

REMEMBER THIS!
Apart from keeping in mind those horrible DUI penalties, you should also take note the things that you need to do not to have them. First, when you plan on having those drinks that make your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) sky-rocket to far normal, bring someone with you if you want to do this. This is very adviceable because you will actually have the luxury of having all those drinks to yourself. However, make sure that that person will not have the same amount of alcohol as you did, nevertheless both of you will be charged with a DUI.

Second, hire a very competent attorney to defend or advice you with your charges, once you were caught. See to it that that counsel will be by your side at all cost and that he can get you out through all that loophole. Lastly, after being freed from all of the charges, be an example to others. Because at the end of the day, you will realize that every charges are life-changing.
