Have a look at the pattern of the Common Written Examination
A common written exam or CWE is conducted for the selection of PO's. The selection is made on the basis of their performance in written test as well interview. Many a times, the interviews are followed by group discussions. All the public sector banks more or less follow a similar pattern for the written test. Both objective and descriptive type of questions are included in the written test.

Here are some preparation tips for Bank Exams
Instantaneous preparation for writing the bank exams would make your success somewhat difficult. I am afraid this won’t work out. You need to have a preparation of at least eight months prior to the exam. If aspiring for a sure success, need to develop a right strategy, and approach for preparing. If you have a robust strategy and plan, be sure half the battle is won.

The initial step is to prioritize all the sections of the test like reasoning should be on the top of the list, followed by General awareness, Quantitative aptitude and English. You can score well in the General awareness section as it consists of mainly current affairs and comings and goings in India and abroad, in the past 6-8 months. The other section which is a bit easier is the quantitative aptitude part consisting of a general and basic math.
The reasoning test is the most crucial part of the exam which really decides the probability of your success. According to most of the candidates this is the toughest part of the exam. This requires you to understand the concepts by solving the old model papers. You can give less time to preparing the descriptive part as it doesn’t require more preparation.
Remember, Time management is equally essential for preparation as it gives you cutthroat advantage over the other aspirants.
