Thanking your bridal party for taking the time and effort to be part of your wedding is just common courtesy. Go a few more steps and your party will feel extra special with your extra efforts. Make a day of it by coordinating the gift giving with an outing for all you, the groom and groomsmen, or the bride and her attendants.

Picnic

What better way to thank all your bridal party members than with a gourmet picnic at the local park? The meal can be store bought or made at home. An easy menu is fried chicken, baby red potatoes stuffed with sour cream and dill, cheese and herbed biscuits, fresh strawberries, and chocolate chip cookies.

Provide an embroidered hat that says groom, bride, bridesmaid or groomsman to each attendant. A cute touch would be to add a wedding tux T-Shirt shaped bottle holder with a cold bottle of soda or favorite brew for everyone. If someone has a musical bent or you'd just like to add a little entertainment to the day, throw in a stainless steel harmonica for those so inclined. The harmonica can be personalized as well.

A more formal approach would be to hire a limo to take the picnic into the country, mountains or beach. Start the lunch with cold creamy avocado soup, shrimp salad stuffed into cherry tomatoes, rare roast beef, bleu cheese and bacon wraps and your favorite wine. You're going home in the limo so it's okay to imbibe. Order a red and white bottle of wine for each of your bridal party and give them as gifts in the 2 section wine carry bag. Add a personalized silver plated bottle opener, and your gift is complete and unique.

Spa Treatments

Both men and women like to be pampered. Arrange a day for all of you at a local spa. The men can be treated with manicures, pedicures and facials. The women will love massages, body treatments and scrubs. As an added touch, give the men in your party a black tote bag. Give the girls a white mesh personalized bridesmaid tote. Add a fluffy towel and a few spa products to all the bags. Girls get the "The Cosmopolitan," a monogrammed 5 piece manicure set with the latest colors of nail polish and a selection of the latest fashion magazines. The men receive the personalized rubber grip 13-function army knife and a selection of sports magazines.

If the men feel awkward at a spa and the girls would prefer to be pampered in private, arrange an outing that's all guys, like a sporting event or game of golf.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

And you don't even have to leave home to do it. Arrange for the guys to come over for the big game, whether it's football, baseball, hockey or NASCAR. Make a big pot of chili, serve lots of chips and everyone's favorite beverage. During the seventh inning stretch or at half time, break out the gifts. Baseball fans will love receiving a personalized Rawlings "Big Stick" bat, personalized baseball, or personalized MLB mug. Hockey and NFL fans will appreciate a personalized NFL or NHL locker room print with wood frame.

If you have the budget and time and can get everyone's schedule coordinated, actually going to the game can be a gift they won't soon forget. Or arrange ahead of time for the local sports bar to set aside a table or two for your party. Pre-order the food so there isn't any time wasted. If you do go out, the personalized Sit 'N Sip Cooler is sure to please everyone. It's perfect to take fishing, camping, watching Little League games or soccer.

Golf Outing

What guy doesn't like golf? Check with municipal courses to see if you can get a deal for your party by golfing later in the afternoon on a weekday. Prices often drop because courses aren't busy then. With an empty course, it will be a snap to finish in two hours or so. Hotels often have deals with private courses.

If your wedding reception is being held in a hotel see if they have arrangements with a nearby course. Arrange for lunch or snacks to be ready after the round. A personalized golf shoe bag or personalized golf towel makes a great gift for your foursome. For something a little more substantial, give a Tough-n-Tiny Tool Kit. It includes 6 foot tape measure, screwdrivers, pliers, bits, and more. All packed into a black 600 denier polyester zip storage pouch.

Your wedding party is sure to feel special with not only a gift, but an outing planned just for them.
