Believe it or not; Cadiz has a rich haul of places of interest in Spain. Supported by beautiful climate, now Cadiz has become one of the most popular places amongst tourists. Some tourists are of the opinion that it would be just sufficient if you go round the city on the walking path to fall in love with this great city. Most beautiful nature, beautiful gardens and imposing view of the traditional buildings; it is unbelievably beautiful. Now let us go round this city and find out what is so interesting in this great city.

Torre Tavira:

Although now it is converted into an exhibition of fine arts and sculpture, this palace has one of the most beautifully built structures. The room called ‘Camara Oscura’ is something quite interesting. Just visit this palace and you will certainly fall in love with it.

Teatro Romano:

This is actually a Roman theatre. Interestingly it was discovered in the year 1980 during an archaeological excavation. This theatre has been excavated between a place called Old Cathedral and Arco de los Blanco. Archaeologists believe this Roman theatre was built in the 1st Century BC. Incidentally that was the era of Julius Caesar.

Other places of interest include San Sabastian Castle which is located near the beach and Baluarte de la fort which is believed to have been built in the year 1672 and is also located near the beach. Cathedral called Arco de los, Santa Catalina Castle are other important monuments worth visiting in Cadiz.

Cortes de Cadiz monument:

This is one of the most important places of Cadiz which no visitor would miss. This monument is believed to have been designed by the famous architect of the time Modesto Lopez. It was Aniceto Mannas, the famous sculptor who gave life to the monument. That was during the years 1912 to 1929. The monument is made of bronze. It has two statues, one statue represents war and the other represents peace. The constitution of Spain is written on the pillar between the two statues. The statues are beautiful and if the tourist misses this monument, he would certainly miss something which has no parallel.

Chamber of Commerce building:

The Chamber of Commerce of Cadiz is housed in a building called Plaza de Mina which is believed to have been built in 1801. This building is in neoclassical architecture. Earlier, this was the building where Bank of Spain was housed. The building is known for its marvelous work of architecture.
