• University of Massachusetts, Amherst
Photography is one of the disciplines in the Studio Arts Program of the university's College of Humanities and Fine Arts. Photography is one of the eight concentrations of the B.F.A. Studio Art degree.
'Courses build a solid foundation in technical practice, as students learn both black and white and color photography, and both darkroom and digital processes. Photography is emphasized within the larger framework of visual culture, and students are encouraged to broaden the definitions of photography within the context of art-making.'
• Boston University
Photography is a 4-credit course and is required to complete the university's B.F.A. art education program. Photography is also a 4-credit course in the university's 5-year art education program, which is designed for 'undergraduate students who wish to major in graphic design, painting, or sculpture, but would also like to obtain state licensure to teach art in the public schools'. The 5-year program combines the B.F.A. with an M.A. degree in Studio Teaching.
• Northeastern University
The university's Department of Art + Design offers photography—including studio photography—as an elective in its B.F.A. in Digital Art program. Photography is also an elective in the B.S. in Computer Science & Digital Art program.
Photography is also addressed in some of the electives in the Art History and Art & Design minors.
• University of Massachusetts, Boston
The university's undergraduate program addresses photography in many of its courses, including Art of the Twentieth Century, Film Analysis, and Twentieth Century Photography.
• Bunker Hill Community College
The college addresses photography in its Associate of Arts degree program.
• University of Massachusetts, Lowell
Photography is the subject of a number of art and design concentrations of the university's B.F.A program.
• Bridgewater State University
Photography is one of the seven concentrations of the university's B.A. Program.
• Montserrat College of Art
Photography—along with videography—is a concentration offered by the college.
