First important thing you need to give your personal information like name, address, etc. and then you need to write about your educational qualification and the course you are interested in.
The next important thing for writing a personal statement is to make a proper introspection about your qualities and demerits. All this is an important source of information for different kinds of research work. The reliability of such information is very high, at least in the case of renowned newspapers circulated among millions of readers. However, some of these newspapers serve vested interests and therefore have low reliability. A comparative study of several newspapers, will give the researcher an insight into reliable and unreliable data.
