Paper bags: its origin and now

Thanks to the lady employee Margaret Knight for her witty decision of incepting the making of the paper bags. She once accidentally, as all inventions happen, found some square bottoms from her manufacturing unit and tried using it as the bags for her items to get carried so that this will ease her stress to carry them home. These paper bags thus came to existence and did not then look back. The bags are now in today’s world manufactured on a huge range for getting it done anyways.

The plastic bags are slowly getting the back seat with its bad intentions for the earth environment. They are getting banned in many countries and they are charged more than paper in some other countries so that people reduce using them and get back to reusable paper bags or the cloth bags which are also equally sturdy like the plastic bags. These paper bags have a good history with environment. Other than consumption of more water and wood they do not give any other complains to the environmentalists. They are more of used in branded clothes’ companies where the usage is not limited to just packing them but also to sell them to the customers. Good ice cream brands also have left the plastics and embraced the paper bags for changing the style of packing and selling to the consumers. Moreover if the ice creams are concerned they need cooler atmosphere even in the bags which is better in the paper bags than the plastic which will not leave you having disappointed melted flavors of your ice creams.

The paper bags come in sizes and types depending on them products which are used to make them and also for which they are used. The bread paper bags, Packaging bags etc have the single layered construction and are light in weight so that they can be used in carrying lighter items like the accessories, clothes and other small stuffs. There also come multi walled paper bags which are more heavier and are used to carry heavy items like fruits, vegetables and other cereals, grains, rice, wheat and all. These paper bags have the compartments on both the inner and the outer sides which give them the thick outlook.

Just like the plastics can be recycled so can the papers. They can be reused and recycled for making different household small items which gets out of our way and comes to mind only when we need them like scrapbooks, book covers and light enhancers through the colored paper bags
