Mineral particles with different density is acted upon hydrodynamic forces and various mechanical forces in motional medias(water, air and heavy liquid), which leads to appropriate loosen stratification and separating conditions, and separates the mineral particles with different density. 2.Flotation Flotation is useful minerals are absorbed on air bubble by treatment of flotation drug according to difference on physic-chemical property of mineral surface, and finally attain the goal of separation. Beneficiation for nonferrous metals, such as copper, lead, zinc, sulfide, all of which are mainly treated by flotation; some ferrous metals, rare metals, and some non-metal ores, such as graphite ore, apatite, and so on, all of which also uses flotation to be separated. 3.Magnetic Separation Magnetic separation is separated the minerals according to different magnetism of minerals, and different minerals are acted upon by different forces in magnetic field of magnetic separator. It is mainly used for separating ferrous metal ore (iron, manganese, chromium); it also used for separating nonferrous metal and rare metal ore. ( iron ore beneficiation ) 4.Magnetic Separation Magnetic separation separates minerals according to difference of conductivity of ore. When ore is passing through high voltage electric field of magnetic separator, due to different conductivity of ore, magnetic force that acted upon ore is different, and minerals can be separated. Magnetic separation is used for separating rare metal, nonferrous metal and non-metal ores. At present, it mainly used for separation and concentration of mixed coarse and fine ore; such as separation of scheelite and cassiterite; concentration of azurite and tantalum-niobium ores.
