February of the year when reported that number of gamblers in the UK had increased to 68% since 2007 by the intelligence of Gambling Commission in the country. Based on the story, UK government allowed this gambling 'problem' to increase instead of reducing it because it is a big help on their economy.
After a few months, another striking news on UK about its recession is on the run and it seems that their gambling 'problem' will solve the country's bankruptcy. Because of this, the Coalition Government in the UK is finding new ways to prevent its total recession. And the government ends up with the decision of taking and using money from the online casino players. The money will be those of not being played and was stacked on the casinos bank. Instead of letting their money sleep for quite some time, it is better of them to be taken care of the government. The Coalition Government said that that money to be collected will be used for public good.
Many online casino players with inactive accounts are recommended to withdraw their funds or be surprised one day that your gambling winning money is already withdrawn by the government. UK gamblers must be responsible for their own casino accounts to avoid having trouble before the government notices their accounts.
This decision made by the UK Government is quite unfair to some casino players with the concern to those casino operators too. Only if this movement became a law, online gamblers could cause trouble if they want to settle this issue by being against the government. Aside from that, many arguments and issues are coming out. A Senior Editor of CasinoScamReport.com stated some of these defenses, “What about a player who is playing on a deposit bonus and is working on the wager requirements? It may take some time to get past the play through requirements and a player may leave the cash in the account until a later time where they can finish meeting the withdrawal terms, can the government just step in and take the cash regardless? Just how much time will need to pass for the government to label an account “dormant”? If a player can’t withdraw their own cash until they meet terms and conditions at a casino, how will it be possible for the government to come in and take the cash? Will casinos have to change their terms and conditions to suit the rules of the law?”.
Those questions is absolutely made its point about the Coalition Government of UK's decision on taking sleeping cash accounts on casinos. It'll sure a legal act to get that money, but it is not acceptable to make it become a law. But on the other hand, I think UK government will study their decision further and set some limits on the accounts they are going to take care of.
