Was so excited and nervous. Finally an MBA and was looking forward to a profile which is unique and interesting. A profile which gives you a chance to perform dual roles - marketing and interior design. Thankfully, got through and was appointed by iDream, an Architectural and Interior Design firm. As the days past, I began to understand that the work culture here is so different from the other workplaces. iDream concentrates on design consultancy assignments for corporate and as a record gets repeat clients every year. Design here, is given the utmost importance. Here, flexibility and freedom of expressing new ideas is encouraged, and that is what a designer always seeks for because design has now boundaries. The biggest factor is respect, that a person gets here. This glues the person to iDream. Being a fresher I learned and still learning a lot from everyone here especially our respected director. He is an ocean full of knowledge and is always personally involved in all the projects. Also the iDream team, be it the designers, project heads, project managers, anyone – everyone is so supportive and always ready to help. Making proposals, attending meetings, understanding the client, designing, etc. Time just flied without even a chance to look back. iDream arranges frequent training sessions cum picnics which are motivating and refreshing for everyone. It also allows the design team to get close to nature and expand their creativity. Not to forget, every festival is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and spirit. I feel such activities are really important in an organization as it not only refreshes you but also gives you a chance to bind well with your colleagues and understand each other better. This is very vital and helps you on a professional level. Slowly I became a part of iDream’s family and iDream a part of my life. I cant’ believe that a year has passed away so soon. All credit goes to the team being so encouraging and supportive at every step. Looking forward to be a part of iDream always and be involved in maximum activities of it as I can.
