Energy resources like oil, wind, water, coal, petrol and solar not only stimulates the production process of a country but also initiates a huge amount of job opportunities. They have become the bedrock of human civilization and are responsible for human existence. A power generation plant requires a thick number of employees for various job duties, be it a normal wage worker, an engineer or an administrative head, an establishment like this requires skills at different levels. A country produces as well as consumes energy which helps to regulate the economic, industrial and technical growth of the country. An energy resource can be primary and final, that is, we can use it directly or indirectly in our production process. The amount of recruitment that is done in these energy sectors is overwhelming. Companies hire technicians, engineers, and workers for their production. The rate at which the energy sector is gaining popularity, people can be assured of getting huge job and career opportunities in the future.
The oil industry in the recent years have gone through a huge advancement in its production and with the constant hike in fuel prices this energy resource is ready to attract customers from all around the world. Fuel stations are being built at a high pace which requires a number of workers, and thus attendants, oil rig laborers and truck drivers are being recruited continuously. The workers are assured full job satisfaction and fair salary. These industries nowadays have also introduced new drilling methods and seismic explorations which increase the want for educated, well groomed, and hard working individuals. Research works are also possible in these areas which bring new inventions. Every industrial unit requires professionals form different fields, whether it is mining or managing, any type of skill is needed in this field. The oil industry can also be classified into two units, namely, upstream unit which deals with extraction and exploration and the downstream unit responsible for processing. There are reservoir engineers who estimate and plan out the amount of oil which should be extracted and also decide the shape and size of the oil reservoir. Drilling engineers on the other hand are responsible for drilling wells, they design and select equipments and ensure the safety of the individuals. Geologists and geophysicists often locate new sites for mining and oil extraction and stimulate the scope of such industries.
