The profession of nursing is indeed very stressful. It involves long hours; time bound actions, handling critical patients, assisting doctors at operation Theatre, accuracy of unparallel degree. Leave alone shifting duty and anxiety of dealing with life and death every day. One from the nursing fraternity itself has come up with a solution. While studying in V or VI, I had to study a chapter on Florence Nightangle as a part of the English prose curriculum. Reading that I had goose bumps. The discipline, the empathetic nature, the dedication, the sincerity towards ones profession is remarkable. After the routine actions are taken, there are pathological and medical investigation reports that needs to be checked, the OT that needs to be readied for surgery. If any step goes wrong anywhere, it could lead to serious consequences. So a nurse, apart from being well trained, also needs to be physically fit, mentally alert and inspired all the time.

If any nurse feels demotivated, disheartened or is unable to cope up with the work pressure then that might result in poor service to the patient. Leading to patient dissatisfaction.
