Wow, starting today I have been given the opportunity to have a daily newspaper piece where I can share my top tips for employment and all I can say is wow. I like it when a plan comes together. A few years ago – I wrote a small paragraph about myself as though I was five years older. I wrote the things that I hoped people would say about me. I wrote that I had ‘inspired millions of people around the world to do something they did not think possible and that I had done this through the media’. Well, I have done plenty of telly since then, but now I get to do a daily column in a newspaper that is read by millions. So wow.
Any way there is a practical reality to taking on this task…
So I started writing things down last weekend – all my ideas flowing out of me, trying to remember everything I could think of that I know will help people back into employment. That’s when I realised – this is not just about me and my knowledge its about the entire team at A4e and all our wonderful clients who do this day in and day out. So its obvious that I should ask them for help, sharing the amazing wealth of experience we have about finding work.
My challenge to everyone is to ask how many tips do we have to give? – Can all the million or more people who have found jobs via A4e over the years tell us how they did it – and therefore help others. Can we make this limitless – Do we ever really stop learning and if so should we ever stop sharing…the answer is NO! Employment opportunities change, technology changes, peoples ideas and minds carry on growing and developing.
So ask our customers, ask someone on the street, email the CEO of an International Organisation and ask their opinion but most of all lets make this top tips column the place for people to head to who want to improve their lives.
My tips will be appearing six days a week so visit this blog for regular updates about my tips and the A4e community news feed for even more help and advice. This is a way in which we can all help the people who are worried about their jobs and we can all help the people who don’t have jobs.
