My Hubby and Our Boy Wanted A Pirate Costume

There is so much keeping us busy preparing for the halloween trick or treaters. My son and husband should have started on Halloween back in july for all the decoration planning they have. My husband is at the computer ordering his online Halloween supplies. He had decided on the crawling hand and some of the other décor suggestions he’s ran across. I think this year he is planning on a new costume idea. His costume last year was a werewolf. I’m not sure about this years costume. All I know is he is as excited as a little kid on this holiday. Halloween affects our son the same way. He can hardly wait to get out there and beg for candy in his costume.

They not only spent a lot of time working on decorating, but on planning what costumes they want to wear. Both of my men are hooked on movies like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and other movies of the sort. So, it’s a safe bet that they are both planning on ordering a cutthroat pirate costume. I saw my son checking out an adult pirate costume and some children pirate costumes online yesterday. So I won’t be surprised to see a men’s pirate costume and a pirate boy costume coming in the mail soon. I was expecting them to suggest that I find a woman pirate costume for me. They were also talking amongst themselves about a bloody pirate chest and a skull with a sword shoved through it. I’d say the evidence was pretty conclusive. You didn’t have to be a private detective to figure that one out.

Finally they confessed to me that they might be buying a couple of authentic pirate costumes for halloween. Well, blow me down! Now the search was on for the perfect buccaneer pirate costume for both of them. My husband favored the caribbean pirate costumes and my son voted for a ghost pirate costume. I doubt if they had a clue as to which ones they wanted to be. They had a different idea with every pirate ship costume they ran across. I decided to concede and choose from one of the women’s pirate costume selection. Why fight a losing battle?

There were some pretty cool womens pirate costumes to check out. I really liked the sassy one and I’d love to be the queen. I have always considered myself the queenly type anyway. I think I should dress appropriately for taking over the ship. There are some neat accessories for a pirate themed Halloween. They had the pirate costume hats and even a set of pirate teeth. There’s also all kinds of stuff like boots and swashbuckling swords. Dressing up in a womens pirate costume sounds more and more cool with every accessory I find.

They weren’t happy until all of us were aboard their ship. They are choosing a costume for our bulldog too. It probably wouldn’t hurt for my husband to speak to a professional. But I will say they had some really cute pet costumes to check out. The costume does look pretty cute. There was a pirate hat and hook with the costume. Our son made a little eye patch for him that really completes the outfit. My husband was the captain and my son a rogue pirate. We now have everything we need for Halloween. They have been working on the decorations for a while. They really did go all out this year on Halloween. It’s really looking fantastic. We only ran into one problem in this family venture. Even though my husband feels he’s qualified to be the captain, our son feels he should be the leader. But deep down inside, they know who’s running this crew.
