MEN and women are created equal. Whatever man does, so can a woman, which is probably why women have been doing good in fields of interest that men used to dominate.

MEN and women are created equal. Whatever man does, so can a woman, which is probably why women have been doing good in fields of interest that men used to dominate.
Being a cop, an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, a legislator, a corporate chief executive officer, a diplomat and even being a head of State are among those that women are into. And believe or not, women are also into bodybuilding.
See for yourself
Have you tried sneaking into a gym near your place? Chances are, you’d see women running the tread mill, shaping up their breasts using the chest expander and toning their butts using other gym equipments.
Going deeper into the gym, you’d also probably see few women lifting weights. Yes, lifting weights!
Although there are still more men lifting weights as compared to women as many women remains living on the wrong impression that the exercise would make them look like a wrestler.
Living on the wrong impression
Most of us would probably think that women lifting weights are bound to evolve into a person that looks much like a man. The truth is women are not bound to look like men by lifting weights. While both genders have almost the same physical structure, there is a wide gap in their physiological aspects.
Women could not possibly develop muscles as big as what weightlifting men have because of their difference in hormones.
Science explains that Testosterone, an androgenic hormone that allows anabolism, is present in both men and women. However, while both genders produce testosterone to keep hormonal balance, men have far much higher level of it as compared to women.
By the way, higher testosterone level enhances the conventional masculine physical trait, which includes the development of bigger muscle mass and deepening in the voice.
Bodybuilding, what?
Bodybuilding isn’t limited to developing bulky muscles. It allows some modifications in the body through intensive muscle hypertrophy.
In the United States, bodybuilding competitions attract both men and women, both as contestant and as spectator. During competitions, contestants display physiques not just to a panel of judges but to a crowd, who seemed fascinated not just with the bulky muscles but with the way competitors make them move in a synchronized direction.
At the contest proper, judges assign points based on appearance of the muscle, the manner in which it is revealed and the impact that is made as manifested in woos and boos from the audience.
Making it look beautiful
Competitors come in not just with guts and muscles. Their overall stage appearance comes in with help from the make-up artists, whose job is to make sure that bulky muscles are put into highlight the moment light strikes him or her. Here, the use of oils and tanning lotions helps.
Among those male bodybuilders who made it real big by joining Hollywood are Arnold Schwarzenegger (now California State Governor), Lou Ferrigno, and Charles Atlas.
Today, Jay Cutler seemed the most dominant personality in the field of bodybuilding. He is the current Mr. Olympia, a title which he has been holding for the last three years. GP
