The interesting fact about the phone is that Motorola has already launched the latest edition of the same phone XT 800+ in China. So it is yet to be found out what Motorola is intending to do by launching the comparatively older version in Indian market. The phone is also known as Motorola Glam The phone runs on a Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. The touch screen is reasonably large, about 3.7 inches in size which has FWVGA and 16M colors. It has special features like geo tagging and image stabilization. Video recording is also possible with D1 (720x480 pixel) at 24fps. There is a 550MHz Cortex-A8 processor accompanied by a Power VR SGX530 GPU and TI OMAP3430 chipset. The connectivity settings include GPRS of class 12 (4+1/3+2/2+3/1+4 slots) with a speed of 32 to 48 kbps and EDGE of class 12.There is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and blue tooth v 2.1 with A2DP to ensure high quality wireless connectivity. There is an HTML browser for internet browsing. The phone has a good quality music player that supports MP3, eAAC+, WAV and WMA audio formats and MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV video formats. There is a stereo radio with RDs is also present. The messaging facility enables SMS, MMS, Email, Instant messaging, push mail etc. XT800 is powered by a standard Li-Po battery which offers a talk time up to five hours and fort minutes and a maximum stand by time up to 100 hours. It has GPS support and there are in built games. The internet function allows the user to download more games if he chooses to do so. The internal memory includes 512 MB RAM and 1 GB storage. The phone supports external memory up to 32 GB through micro SD card slot. The dimensions of the phone are 120 x 61.8 x 11.4 mm and it weighs 137 Grams.
