San Sebastian La Concha – beach is an excellent urban beach and is provided with very good infrastructure and necessary services. This beach has the reputation of being one of the best beaches not only in Spain but also in Europe. It is located near the French border in the northeast corner of Spain. Children can witness small aquatic attractions standing on the platform in the sea. There is a popular walkway and a bicycle lane along it. The promenade covers the full bay length that includes beaches La Concha and Ondarreta. You can see the beautiful sceneries of the islands Santa Clara and Monte Igeldo. It has golden sand and the waves are moderate.
Playa de las Catedrales, Galicia – is the best beach in Galicia which is in the northwest direction in Spain. Its official name is 'Praia de Augas Santas and it is also known as 'beach of the cathedrals'. The rocks here have been shaped in a peculiar manner due to erosion by wind and water and hence it is very popular. It has white sand and the waves are moderate.
Playa del Silencio, Asturias – is sandy and clean and is one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. This beach is alternately known as the ‘Beach of Silence’ because of the silent atmosphere on the beachside. The sand is golden on the beach and it blends naturally with the boulders and gravel.
Ses Illetes, Formentera, Balaeric Islands
The smallest island among the Balearic Islands is Formentera and Ses Illetes is located on the northern tip of this island. The distance between this place and Espalmador is 150 KM. Ses Illetes is a famous beach on this island and while walking along the beach, you will have a feeling that you are in the Caribbean. This is one of the beaches that have maximum number of tourists – foreigners and locals – and during peak times it is quite busy. You will find it difficult to access certain areas except by cycling or walking. You can rent sun beds and kiosks and there are restaurants.
Sitges Beaches, Catalonia
Sitges is situated near Barcelona and is a party town; it has a large number of nice beaches. This place is well known for the gay population. There are also beaches where nudism is practiced.
