Back in my twenties, I rented a small house picturesque San Francisco, a short distance from the beach. The house was simple and clear with a small front yard. There were only a beautiful pink daisy-like perennials and lots more, it cinerary. There was a porch, three windows overlooking the street and the three dilapidated windows box planters. I found the house immediately. Having never experienced the pleasure of a garden, as I had just moved to a third story Victorian apartment, I was very pleased with the possibilities of the diamond. All that is needed is real time, effort and lots of love to come to life.
My first improvement was to fill the window box planters. Although my budget is the appearance of the house, I wanted the best for my money. Naturally, I started with the window, adding some soil and some flowers.
The daffodils and tulips in mind first, because it was early winter when I took up residence. These flowers have been planted to easily add many colors to enjoy spring in a few months. Visualizing a piece sunshiny color surrounding the front door was a breeze. I quickly put my mind to planning the summer flowers for my window box planters, shortly after I planted my bulbs. However, the beach of San Francisco is quite restrictive in its consideration of various plants. What with the fog, fog and even more fog, the climate was much more depressing when one considers that everything in the house was gray. Yes, the gray walls, gray roof and white window box planter. Those who have preceded me, I decided absolutely no imagination at all.
Magenta paint was my choice and I painted the front door and trim and you’re guessed it, even the windows. It was much better, although I tell myself. Cineraria were very surprising, as the exterior of the house led to a drastic way.
I was very pleased that the measure beyond daffodils and tulips and surface began to come into flower, yes, I even spoke with them. I had been planning for the summer and autumn, the flowers; I plant in my window box planter color amazing. When the time comes, I begin to gently interplant begonias, purple and magenta fuchsias between each bulb and then chose some dark turquoise mobile lobelia for good measure. These flowers were well underway, the time was the bulb. All these flowers have thrived in a moist and darkened. For even more color, I chose a variegated coleus. Visitors found this charming as I did, when they complimented her magnificent display of colors.
Finally, autumn and winter is now pink, white and red cyclamens quickly replaced the summer flowers. I brought my begonias inside to wait for late winter in pots. However, ferns and spider plants began to take on the underside of the roof of the porch, as they hung on their hooks, so reminiscent of delightful ballroom belles. It is interesting, unlike many amazing how a couple of the box four feet from the window planters can give a beautiful house to curb these actions.
