This article goes over the use of key chains in modern society. We obviously have many uses of the key chain that were not as common many years ago. However, when looking at the way key chains have been used in the past, modern day practices are not all that different.

Key chains have many different functions. Originally made to carry keys, these convenient holders have grown into so much more. They were invented to organize multiple keys and to keep access to your most valuable assets close but in modern times it gets more complicated. Key chains have become a collector's item, a means to keep family photos handy, a souvenir from a vacation, or even a status symbol.
Key chains are accommodating because it keeps door openers on one organized ring. They also serve many purposes. Some chains come with a carbineer which is for more heavy duty individuals like realtors who require access to many places or construction workers. Everyday people can also use holders that come with a carbineer because it's easy to hook unto a pants loop.
Other chains come with mini flashlights. Those are really cool because if you ever dropped something in the dark or if the lights went out, the convenience of a handy mini flashlight becomes helpful. Some even come with mace which becomes a life or death situation when needed. The flashlights carriers can come in many different sizes and you can even get two modifications on it such as a flashlight with a carbineer.
Then there are some that come with a Swiss Army knife attachment. Those come in real beneficial when working on impromptu things like if your car broke down or if you need to replace a nail. You can also get key chains with pens or highlighters as an extra modification.
Collectors are more concerned with quality than convenience. They like to collect chains that are relevant to certain things like luxury cars. Most collectors want to collect Key chains from high end cars like Rolls Royce or BMW's. Speaking of high end cars, looking at someone's door opener is another significant way to tell their income bracket.
In conclusion key chains have transformed into more than just a means to organize your accessibility. They serve many different purposes. Manufacturers offer many different options in chains that you can personalize with any modification you want.
