Methods to restore the deleted Windows partitions

The methods to recover formatted partition or partitions have been discussed in this article. A Windows Vista user can try the Bootrex.exe tool to perform deleted partition recovery. Non technical users can refer the specifically designed Windows recovery software.
The File Allocation Table (FAT) and New Technology File System are storage partitions which store the entire data of Operating System. The system divides the information in partitions before assigning it disk space. The first FAT version was introduced by Bill gates first. Presently, there are three FAT versions called FAT12, FAT16, and FAT32. Later on, NTFS was developed which is now considered as a more advanced file system. Use the following options in the Bootrec.exe tool

/FixMbr
/FixMbr scripts a compatible MBR on the system partition. Before referring to this command rectify the MBR corruption issues and eradicate the non-standard code.

/FixBoot
/FixBoot can fix the Boot sector which has been replaced with a non sector Windows.

/ScanOs
This command scans all the systems and installations for rectifying the compatibility issues.

/RebuildBcd
The Rebuild BCD option rebuilds the BCD totally. Like ScanOs its scans all the installations compatible with Windows.

Solution for non technical users

Using Bootrex.exe requires a lot of technical expertise and knowledge. This tool also consumes a lot of time during scans. If this tool fails to recover formatted partition then it means there is some serious problem in your hard disk. In that case, you can refer a specifically designed deleted partition recovery software. Such tool can quickly conduct scan and retrieve data from the partitions.
