Water is the most precious natural resource available on the earth. Existence of life on the earth is due to water itself and that is why all the scientist get so exited when they get clue that planets like moon may also have water present over their. Basically water is a compound of hydrogen and oxygen in two ration one in it's purest form. In practice water also contains some minerals dissolved in it and water used for drinking purpose by all the living creatures is mineral water itself. Minerals like sodium, magnesium and bicarbonates of the same are required by our body and are present in natural drinking water. In the early stage of earth formation extensive lighting caused hydrogen and oxygen to compound and make water and this process continued for hundreds of years. In the early age earth was a hot sphere lighted by melting metals and slow down in earth's temperature was mainly because of raining water and after hundred of years of continuous raining earth came to a lower temperature and life started over the earth.
Almost seventy percent of earths surface is covered from water but not all the water present over the earth is potable. Infect very less amount of water is as potable over the earth as more then ninety percent of earth's total water is in oceans as salty water not fit to drink. Only sources of potable water over the earth are rivers, ponds, underground water and rainwater. Which is approximately two to three percent of total water present over the earth. Now there is a need to use wisely potable water as for years our human civilization is contaminating this scared and precious water resource. Now various NGO and NFO groups are trying to educate people about the scarcity and importance of potable water on the earth.
Rainwater storage or rain water harvesting is the very good way to save potable water on the earth. Water from the rain is potable after a little processing and can be used for many other house hold works for example bathing and washing. Rain water storage can be done in many ways in ponds in lakes in underground water tanks but latest and most appropriate way to do so is via plastic water tank itself. In plastic water tank rain water storage a plastic water tank can be fitted with the roof of any house and rain water from the roof can be stored directly to the plastic water tank or plastic water tanks itself.
Methods like ponds and underground water tanks are not useful for individual water storage and are appropriate for a community but plastic water tanks can be used to store rain water at an individual level. Plastic water tanks are easily installable and can be replaced with ease and comfort in case their is a damage plastic water tank repair service can be availed from most of the vendors across the country and for water tank repair their is no need to replace the water tank from it's current position as well.
