Goa the most visited tourist place of India is the tinniest state in area and the fourth smallest state in terms of population is located in the South-west Indian region called Konkan. The state is bound by Maharashtra on the north and Karnataka on the east and south and Arabian Sea towards west.

Chapora Fort is also red laterite and was built in 1617, the site of a structure existing Muslim. The Chapora name is the corrupted version of the word Shahpura or "The City of Shah". It was built as an outpost and then abandoned by the Portuguese in 1892.
Mormugao Fort is located near the famous port Marmagoa and was built to protect the equipment and the Basque city of Gama in 1624. The fort covered an area of six miles in circumference and had huge bastions, five prisons and a chapel.
