Unlike in the yesteryears, today, media tops the list when we talk about communicating information to people at the highest speed. In a media house, an individual can work as a newspaper editor, 3D artist or a journalist depending upon his or her qualifications and work experience.
• Editor of a Newspaper: A newspaper editor is responsible for reviewing the content of the editorial section, analyzing it and arranging the entire content in a proper manner. He or she needs to decide which stories or articles need to get published. Moreover, an editor is responsible for managing the writers and the design as well as the layout of the editorial section, writing articles at times, and also interacting with the local people. In addition, an editor is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is correct and that there is no grammatical error. You can also work as an assistant editor, sub editor and so on.
• 3D Artist: A 3D artist needs to create superior quality 3D arts, review 3D arts and suggest improvements on the same, create 3D models from objects in the real world as well as from photographs, animate characters as well as objects for 3D arts, and so on.
• Journalist: The main task of a journalist is to make the people aware of the incidents or happenings that are taking place in the country and abroad. A journalist’s job is quite challenging because he or she himself has to visit the site, make an analysis of the situation, and communicate the correct information to the people. A journalist also needs to interact with the people who are victims of the incident as well as the eye witnesses in order to provide continuous update on the incident.
As far as academic attainments are concerned, a news editor as well as a journalist should preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in English language, Mass Communication or Journalism. Moreover, they should also have excellent writing and communication skills, should be self motivated, and should have the ability to think logically and rationally. Moreover, they should also be very flexible since their job may not have any fixed timings.
