Malaga is the capital of Costa de Sol, and a province in Andalusia, Spain. Malaga’s airport is quite famous, because a large number of budget flights fly here from various places in Europe. It is natural that people in Spain spend their weekend there, enjoying its beaches and hassle free environment.

It is natural that people in Spain spend their weekend there, enjoying its beaches and hassle free environment. Malaga is the birth place for Pablo Picasso and Antonio Bandera. This city was born before 2000 years and only during 8th century, when Muslim Arabic ruled over Spain, this place became an important trade centre. Malaga is located in the southernmost region of Spain, and the climate here is Subtropical with mild winters and light summers.
Sunshine throughout the year and mild winters earned Malaga a huge reputation among tourists. The infrastructure in Malaga is noteworthy and drawing number of visitors daily. Another important feature is that it could be reached easily by Air or train or by cruise, from any destination in Europe.
Malaga Cathedral, when the construction began in 1528, was known as Cathedral of Incarnation. The Cathedral is formed by the fusion of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. There are many chapels in this church and important among them is the Chapel of Santa Barbara. The Cathedral has a museum, where precious gold and silverware are preserved. Malaga Alcazaba is one of the best examples of the Moorish architecture in Spain. It contains more than hundred towers, and archeological museum, surrounded by gardens and fountains.
Pablo Picasso, one of the most significant painters was born here. His family decided to dedicate his paintings for the city after his death. Even though there are two other Picasso museums in Europe, Malaga’s Picasso museum has privilege of honoring the great man at his birth place.
Malaga has convenient transportation system like bus and train. Most of the places could be easily covered by hop on and hop off journey by bus. Buses are available for every half an hour and it is the cheapest transportation in the city. Costa del Sol stretches along the coastline for over 160 km, which includes most attractive beaches in them. Malaga has the best climate in Spain because the huge mountain prevents the northerly winds from entering this region. People living here are very friendly, welcoming and enjoy the company of all visitors. Malaga has the third largest airport in Spain, with many cheap airlines flying from all major points in Europe. After AVE service was introduced from Madrid, visitors to Malaga increased enormously, to have a relaxed week end.
