The human body is probably the most complicated machine in the world. All the anatomy of the human body is still a mystery for the medical world. The human body contains a series of complex systems which is a must for proper functioning of body. Other than this, liver perform tasks such as break down fats, convert glucose into glycogen and urea production in the body. It is also known for its ability to produce cholesterol in the body.

The liver failure can cause serious problems in the human body and the treatment is almost inevitable. With respect to current treatments of liver are involved, are not very effective and can show its effect for a period of time. Dialysis is a common treatment of liver failure that people often experience when the issue becomes worse. Therefore, liver transplantation is the most reliable treatment for a person suffering from liver failure. According to current data from around the world are concerned, more than 1,00,000 people suffer from liver failure each year and many of them die because they are not getting the liver transplant which is the only final solution.

Treatment of liver transplantation depends on the availability of liver donors. Many precautions are taken before the liver is transplanted into the body of the person suffering from liver failure. There is no doubt that liver transplantation is a very complicated surgery to be carried out under the supervision of a skilled surgeon. Liver donation is a serious matter that also is only after the donor meets the medical requirements. Doctor must check Transplant statistics before making transferring of liver.

There are many things needed to care while doing liver transplant for saving a person who is having major liver problem. Donors must be over 18, but the maximum age for donation is 50. Donors must also undergo various tests before liver is taken from their bodies. The donor and the recipient of the liver must be in the same blood type. The size of the liver donor and recipient must be the same as well. The donor must have a good physical condition. It is also important for donors that they do not suffer from contagious diseases. To make the investigation is complete, the donor must undergo chest X-ray, ECG, CT of the abdomen and liver biopsy. The liver is accepted and used in the patient's body after the donor meets the satisfactory reports on all these tests.
