LG Thrive Android mobile announced 2011, April.LG Thrive comes in silver colour which having a screen size of 3.2-inch HVGA multi-touch display with 320 x 480 resolutions and having an inbuilt camera of 3.2MP with feature of autofocus having Good Video Recording capabilities ,has Bluetooth and GPRS

LG has launched a Smartphone recently released without much hoolah and it?s called Thrive. LG Thrive is exactly identical to LGs own Phoenix Smartphone. LG Thrive is a solid budget phone that?s runs on Android and its packs plenty of power for an average Smartphone range. LG Thrive has the same lineage as the LGs Optimus range and also packs similar features as the lineup with an exception of tethering capability.

Thriving Design:
LG Thrive has a brilliant design with curved corners and sliver along the spine. The phone is very lightweight at 91gms and slender with dimensions of 4.46x2.32x0.52 inch. The handset looks stunningly beautiful from all the side.

The front look houses a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen that displays 320x480 pixels resolution. This TFT touchscreen is capable of displaying 256k colors that translates into sharp and crisp display looking at the screen size. Around the phone you will find a volume rocker, power button, 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB and at the back a 3.2MP camera.

The front has 4 physical buttons below the screen. The button placement is bit different than rest of the Android phones, the Menu key is placed first form the left followed by Home, Back and Search key. The Home key and Back key are placed a single slate separating them from Menu and Search key.

Blooming Performance:
LG Thrive runs on a 600MHz ARM 11 processor and Adreno 200 GPU and Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. It has Android 2.2 Froyo platform as the OS, which is bit old but still kicking. Although the specs may look a bit slouch but it gives perfect performance for a budget phone.

LG Thrive does have all the goodies of Froyo OS like voice dialing over Bluetooth, apps sharing, contacts integration with mail, facebook and twitter contacts, etc. Due to limitations of its hardware LG Thrive is unable to run flash content on the browser even though Android 2.2 Froyo supports it. Other goodies include standard Android phone features like accelerometer, proximity sensor, GPS, multi-touch input, 3G/HSDPA, WLAN, Bluetooth and micro-USB.LG Thrive has internal memory capacity of 160MB along with 2GB microSD card included. The storage can be further expanded up to 32GB by a microSD card.

Capturing Skills:
LG Thrive has a 3.15MP autofocus camera with geotagging. It is a 3G capable phone still its does not come with a front camera, so unfortunately no face to face calling. The camera is pretty good and produces good quality pictures for a budget phone. The colors are crisp and not wash out. The camera is also capable of taking video and the quality remains same as the stills. The call quality of LG Thrive is very clear with no distortion or static during a call. Both the ends could hear nice and natural sound with no interruption of any background noise.

The Good:
LG Thrive is an awesome looking phone. It is slim and very attractive with all the amazing features on Android 2.2. The camera quality is good at 3.2 MP.

The Bad:
LG Thrive is unable to play any flash content while browsing. The inability of it becoming a mobile Wi-Fi or tethering is also great missed.

Final Say:
Overall LG Thrive is a pretty brilliant phone for an entry level Smartphone. It loaded with pretty good features that make it very appealing. If you looking for a entry level Android LG Thrive is certainly going to attract you.
