If you love kite flying and enjoy this event then let me tell you that there are many places in the world where kite flying is celebrated as a festival with utmost enthusiasm and spirit like that of Ahmadabad in Gujarat and the Jaipur in Rajasthan in India.
Kite Flying in India is celebrated as a festival with utmost joy, even many tourist who come to visit India also visit this place and enjoy the mass celebration event, and take memories back to their home with their cameras.

Kite-flying festival is being held in important cities of Gujarat each year. The most important of all is the Ahmadabad’s International Kite Festival, which is celebrated in the month of January on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Eminent expert kite fliers from not only India but all over the world come here to design kites and to participate in the kite flying festival which would obviously enthrall you by their kite flying skills.

Another main and popular International Kite Festival event also take place in the month of January the Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan in India, where it is celebrated with the same theme, spirit and joy as in Ahmadabad. In Jaipur it is celebrated at Polo Ground and this event lasts for three days; at last day the skills of the kite flying and kite designers experts is assessed and even the prizes are distribute to the most skilled kite experts. This event is also popular as a international kite festival.

Another Kite Flying Festival location is Delhi where it is also celebrated with same enthusiasm and high spirit near the Palika Bazaar in Connaught Place in New Delhi. This event is held on the day of festival Makar Sankranti too. Lots of kite experts participate in this event too and al last prizes are distributed to the winners of the completion followed by a gala dinner. Lots of kites of different sizes, shapes and color dominate the blue sky of Delhi create such a wonderful scene which would impress you and you would not be able to stop yourself from saying wow..

Rakshabandhan and Independence Day are some of the other main occasions when you can see sky full of colorful kites swaying in the skies in different parts of the world.
