1. Fold up a complete strip of tape in partially and cut curved corners on the folded edges of the tape. Curving the corners can prevent the edges of the tape from getting cracked or peeled off very soon.
2. Bow the knee to the position of a 90 degree angle.
3. Take the first strip and use its first half. You have to tear the back paper in half and remove the paper by stretching the tape. Be careful while doing this and do not touch the adhesive.
4. Stretch the knee and apply the piece of the tape just below the knee cap. The ends of the tape must not be stretched.
5. Now the first tape’s second half should be used. The tape can be applied in the same way the first half is used without stretching the ends.
6. Take another strip and measure it around the knee cap. This strip must not be cut. It should be full.
7. Now it should be applied just above the knees.
8. This time the knees should be only 25 % stretched. Now remove the back paper and after getting even with the bottom of the knee cap, cross under the knee and apply 50 percent stretch.
9. Do not stretch the ends again.
10. Now repeat the same procedure with the final stretch.
11. After applying the tape, rub it thoroughly to activate the adhesive. When the adhesive will be activated, it will stick to the skin more efficiently.
