The Kentucky football team symbolizes the University of Kentucky in the field of American football sport. Wildcats started their first session in 1881. Currently their all-time record is 562-552-44 with a winning percentage of 50.4 percent. Wildcats play their home matches at Commonwealth stadium Kentucky. It has a capacity of 67,606 persons. Their current uniform is blue and white. Wildcats’ usual rivals are Tennessee Volunteers, Louisville Cardinals, and South Carolina Gamecocks. Kentucky football has a long history. Their history can be defined in eras. These eras are usually named after the names of head coaches in that era that did their best for the success of team.
Bryant: he is the first coach of Kentucky’s team. He serves about for 15 to 16 years. During his era, Kentucky became member of wildcats also became a member of SEC. They played matches with a number of colleges. Paul "Bear" Bryant was Kentucky's head football coach for eight seasons also.
Fran Curci: Fran Curci was serves for this team only one year. In this span of time, wildcats won peach bowl. And at that time Kentucky was standing at good position.
Jerry Claiborne: Coach Jerry Claiborne live with Wildcats from 1983to 1987. And he built Nutter training facility for this team.
Bill Curry: The Kentucky Wildcats played in the 1993 Peach Bowl under Coach Bill Curry.
Hal Mumme: Hal Mumme was also the coach of wildcats. He stayed only for one year with wildcats. He led the Kentucky basketball team Outback Bowl into the 1998 and Music City Bowl in 1999 but team did not show good performance and were kept aback.
Guy Morris’s: Under the coaching of Guy Morris the Wildcats got a 7–5 record in 2002. But they lost the important event of that time to LSU.
Rich Brooks: Rich Brooks worked for Kentucky team about three years. In 2006 he led the team to an 8-5 record.
Joker Phillips: He is a former player of Kentucky; he is now the coach of this team and has a large experience and talent. He was formally made head coach on 6 January 2010. He is leading wildcats till now. Wildcats are hopeful under his coaching to achieve this season’s title of NCAA.
