With 28 different states in the entire country, people of every religion are found living spread out across the country. Multicultural heritage of India is a legacy which is clearly passed on from one generation to another, to such a present scenario that Indian culture is being identified by the variations in the way people live. It is this variation in the culture and many other things that has become a unifying force and rightly justified the adage, unity in diversity.
It is no surprise that India as a country, has allowed people from far off lands and establish their references here. Arrival of Portuguese, French, Britishers, Americans, and Mughals brought with them, their own culture and rather they got established and amalgamated into that of India. Indian culture is therefore a clear reflection of a mix of different regions, tribes, religions and the ancient civilizations and their practices in day to day life.
* Variations start in the Indian cuisine which are different according to the region. If south Indian cuisine is rich in tasty and spicy food with lots of delicacies, then the north Indian food will have the non vegetarian items, along with the spicy and gravy ingredients. With hotels and multicuisine delicacies on offer for people, finding occasions marked by gourmets of belonging to different religions in India is a norm on day to day basis. Influence of industrialization has brought out microwave cooking and many microwave recipes are being prepared in social gatherings and parties.
* Indian crafts and Indian industries have caught the attention of the entire world with more and more of such industries coming up in India. Industrialization is responsible for the development of any nation and perhaps has been a driving force for the rapid growth in India too. In India, industrialization is related to a number of fields.
* Tourism in India is the most rapidly growing and largest sector responsible for the inflow of revenues so that it could be labeled as one of the profitable of the Indian industries. Pilgrimage places related to different religions in India are adding to the list of places for travelling India, apart from hill stations, beaches, monuments, etc. People are indulging in vacationing and holidaying while many foreign tourists find the country and its place quite enchanting.
* Since ages, the culture of India is deeply ingrained in the villages of the country. Agricultural sector has contributed a lot towards the development of the country, to a large extent. Small scale Indian industry like Indian cookery has earned the villagers their per capital income and improved it a lot.
A lot of factors have helped mould the growth of India and they have made a significant contribution to the changes that have been brought about since the time of independence, in the path of the development of the country.
