The popularity of the dry cleaning process is increasing rapidly all over the world; thousands of people use this process to clean their favorite clothes nowadays.
Cleaning dresses is one of the most important works that people have to do almost every day. It consumes lot of time, but it is so important that people have to do it. The main item used for this process of dry cleaning is the solvent; the dry cleaning solvent is strong enough to dissolve any stain, color or dirt from the clothes. Previously, kerosene, gasoline or naphtha was used as the dry cleaning solvent and they used to work well for cleaning the clothes. But, since these liquids were too much inflammable, they were banned from the dry cleaning industry after some time. After which several other types of dry cleaning solvents were discovered. Much later, people started using perchloroethylene as the solvents; this liquid was pretty strong for cleaning stains and dirt and kept the garments fresh. It was used extensively all over world by the common people and in the dry cleaning shops. But later it was found that this solvent was very harmful for the human beings and people wearing the dry cleaned clothes faced several problems. Gradually people stopped using this liquid for the dry cleaning process.

Nowadays people mainly use the organic dry cleaning solvents like the liquid carbon dioxide or liquid silicon (D5) as the dry cleaning solvent and they work pretty well for cleaning the clothes. Dry cleaning has saved lot of time for people, but as we know good things do not come cheap and the dry cleaning process is no exception. If you go for the dry cleaning companies, they will charge a large amount for the proper cleaning of the clothes. Even if you buy the necessary items and try to perform the dry cleaning process at home, it will not minimize the cost. Most people ignore the cost of this process and try every possible step for dry cleaning. This process is not only fast, but it also keeps the clothes fresh and safe for a long period of time.
