Increasing Participation of Women in Engineering

Engineering among women is also incresing as carrer option and choosing their future. Some institutes are providing special engineering eduaction for womens only. There are some barrieres for womens engineering will be disculssed later in the article.
"Undergraduate and graduate program in engineering aims to attract the best talent pool from various engineering entrance exam for admission to different engineering colleges. The engineering program in various disciplines provides students with a basic foundation of fundamentals and theories which can be correlated to practical examples in life. After doing engineering there are many career options in industries and companies. While there are some barriers which prevent women to take participate in doing engineering. There are three time frames in the education of women while considering her engineering education. Pre engineering education phase, the engineering education phase and the post engineering education phase.
The pre engineering education phase mainly consists of the students who are already interested in engineering however they are not able to participate because of poor performance in the entrance exam and previous academic records. On the other hand there are students who qualify for admission but they are not ready to choose engineering as their career due to the fear of mathematics. In the engineering education phase the student is determine to take engineering as her career. There are some challenges comes across in this phase as maintaining the interest of the student and the student must sure of the safe career and future while choosing engineering as her career. Choosing engineering as a career option among women’s can be promoted by advertise the presence of various women association related to the field like SWE, AWIS. Monitoring should be done by women faculty only. The course content and presentation should be suitable for those women also who had been studied from far flung areas or from average schools during their academics.
In the post engineering education phase the student com across numerous career options and a suitable choice can be made accordingly. The engineering programs are generally attracted the best talent pool of the country however there is a major source of untapped potential in women’s engineering. Enrolling number in women’s are increasing year by year with the awareness of the importance of education and increase in the globalization. Admission to various engineering colleges are made through engineering entrance exams the students are advised to go through the best exam and try to get the admission in best engineering institute of the country. Apart from various national level engineering entrance exam there are some state level engineering entrance exams for admission to engineering college in that state.
