Confidence is not a quality we are born with or something that is hereditary. It's a continuous development that we learn within ourselves. It is a quality that no one else but you can control. If you are not confident, it may be difficult for you to make the most out of your direct selling business.

Leadership and motivational abilities are essential to successfully build your downlines. How can you lead and motivate your downlines and prospects if you lack self-confidence? The good news is that it is never too late to help develop that confidence within yourself.

Here are a few tips to help you unleash your self-confidence:
Posture expresses how you handle yourself, especially at those times when you don't have all of the answers. It is about keeping it together when you get confronted with a tough question, a tough prospect, a tough day, etc. It is about having the ability to stay in the game and to carry yourself like a true professional, whether it is day one in your new business or day 100.

Posture is not what you say but how you are saying it.

In addition to posture, one of the greatest boosters of confidence is attitude. Go from ‘I think I can’ to ‘I know I can’ and finally ‘I can’. Attitude comes from knowing that you have something that will change someone’s life - if they choose to make that choice. Not everyone you speak to will see the opportunity in your business that you see, but you can help yourself by focussing on those that do.
Likewise, do not think that your prospects are doing you a favour by looking at your business; know that you are doing them one.

Last but not the least, confidence comes with belief - this means believing in yourself, your business and your products. By continually believing in these things, you will begin to acquire the confidence that you need to be a leader - both in and out of your direct selling business. It will come across in your tone of voice, the way you converse with people (professionally as well as personally) and in every part of your daily life.

When you combine all three of these factors, you will have a lethal, confidence-boosting combination.

The direct selling business is not just formed around the business and products but around you as an individual and what drives you to reach your goals.
